...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL SHASTA COUNTY

THROUGH 615 PM PDT...



At 551 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over

Castella, or 10 miles south of Mount Shasta, moving east at 15 mph.



HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Castella, Lake McCloud, and Castle Crag.
