...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL CUSTER AND ROSEBUD 

COUNTIES UNTIL 1015 PM MDT...



At 932 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 23 

miles southwest of Miles City, or 22 miles east of Forsyth, moving 

northeast at 30 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail, along with 

heavy rain and frequent lightning.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.



Locations impacted include...

  Miles City, Moon Creek Ranch, Hathaway and Twelve Mile Dam.



This storm will impact travel conditions on Interstate 94.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening 

weather conditions.



Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. 

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe 

shelter inside a building or vehicle.



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead 

to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded 

roadways.
