...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL JACKSON...SOUTH

CENTRAL UNION...WESTERN OUACHITA AND SOUTHEASTERN LINCOLN PARISHES

THROUGH 115 PM CDT...



At 1238 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10

miles east of Ruston, moving east at 15 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Monroe, Claiborne, West Monroe, Brownsville-Bawcom,

Brownsville-Bawcomville, Richwood, Choudrant, Downsville, Drew,

Fondale, Calhoun, Folksville, Cheniere, Mineral Springs, Caderville,

Eureka, and Lapine.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.
