...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN WASHINGTON...CENTRAL

COCKE AND GREENE COUNTIES THROUGH 1015 PM EDT...



At 926 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong

thunderstorms 9 miles northeast of Parrottsville, or 9 miles

southwest of Greeneville, moving northeast at 20 mph.



HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Caney Branch, Newport, Bybee, Tusculum, Chucky, Cedar Creek, Camp

Creek, Davy Crockett Birthplace, Mosheim, and Greeneville.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for

east Tennessee.
