...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN WASHINGTON AND

NORTHERN GREENE COUNTIES THROUGH 945 PM EDT...



At 906 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9

miles northwest of Greeneville, moving east at 25 mph.



HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and penny size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Tusculum, Chucky, Baileyton, Limestone, Davy Crockett Birthplace,

Romeo, Mosheim, and Greeneville.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement

agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service

office in Morristown.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for

east Tennessee.
