...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF CENTRAL ST. JOHN THE

BAPTIST AND NORTH CENTRAL ST. CHARLES PARISHES THROUGH 330 PM CDT

...



At 306 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm

capable of producing waterspouts over marine areas over Norco, or

near Hahnville, moving southeast at 20 mph.



HAZARD...Waterspouts and winds in excess of 40 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

         hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs 

         and blow around unsecured objects.



Locations impacted include...

Laplace, Hahnville, Norco, Ama, Destrehan, New Sarpy, St. Rose,

Luling, and Montz.



This includes the following Interstates...

 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 209 and 221.

 Interstate 55 in Louisiana near mile marker 1.

 Interstate 310 between mile markers 1 and 7.
