...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN DEKALB COUNTY

THROUGH 815 PM CDT...



At 736 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near

Crossville, or 7 miles east of Boaz, moving northeast at 25 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 40-50 mph and penny size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Lebanon, Dog Town, Collbran, Arona, Kilpatrick, Rodentown,

Crossville, Lathamville, and Fort Payne.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for

northeastern Alabama.
