EDGECOMBE...WILSON AND SOUTH CENTRAL FRANKLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 1230

AM EDT...



At 1145 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong

thunderstorms along a line extending from near Bunn to near Wilson to

near Fremont to Mount Olive. Movement was east at 35 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Rocky Mount, Goldsboro, Tarboro, Nashville, Wilson, Mount Olive, Elm

City, Fremont, Walnut Creek, and Bailey.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
