...A CLUSTER OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL WILL IMPACT 

NORTHERN VANCE...WARREN AND NORTHWESTERN HALIFAX COUNTIES THROUGH 

1245 AM EDT...



At 1143 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong 

thunderstorms extending from 7 miles northwest of Henderson to near 

Warrenton to near Gasburg. Movement was northeast at 20 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects.



Locations impacted include...

Roanoke Rapids, Henderson, Warrenton, Halifax, Norlina, Littleton,

Weldon, Middleburg, Macon, and Medoc Mountain State Park.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead

to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.
