...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southeastern Collier,

northern Miami-Dade, southeastern Hendry, Broward and southwestern

Palm Beach Counties through 315 PM EDT...



At 234 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking

strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Miccosukee

Service Plaza to near Dade-Collier Training Airport. Movement was

northwest at 20 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects.



Locations impacted include...

Miccosukee Indian Reservation, Big Cypress Seminole Reservation, Big

Cypress National Preserve, Dade-Collier Training Airport, and

Miccosukee Service Plaza.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around

unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the

storm passes.



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead

to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

shelter inside a building or vehicle.
