NORTHWESTERN SPARTANBURG AND NORTHWESTERN CHEROKEE COUNTIES THROUGH

915 PM EDT...



At 847 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along

a line extending from 3 miles northeast of Forest City to 11 miles

southwest of Rutherfordton to 3 miles southwest of Columbus. Movement

was southeast at 30 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Shelby, Forest City, Columbus, Rutherfordton, Spindale, Boiling

Springs NC, Landrum, Tryon, Chesnee, and Patterson Springs.
