...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CATAWBA...EASTERN

LINCOLN...NORTHWESTERN MECKLENBURG AND NORTHEASTERN GASTON COUNTIES

THROUGH 700 PM EDT...



At 624 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10

miles east of Lincolnton, or near Denver, moving south at 20 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Gastonia, Huntersville, Mt Holly, Dallas, Stanley, Ranlo, Westport,

Iron Station, Denver, and High Shoals.
