...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL TRANSYLVANIA AND

CENTRAL HENDERSON COUNTIES THROUGH 1145 PM EDT...



At 1108 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4

miles east of Brevard, or near Dupont State Forest, moving northeast

at 20 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Little River In Transylvania County, Horse Shoe, Penrose, Etowah,

Brevard, Laurel Park, Valley Hill, and Forge Mountain.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for

western North Carolina.
