...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN RUTHERFORD AND

SOUTHEASTERN POLK COUNTIES THROUGH 1130 PM EDT...



At 1052 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9

miles east of Columbus, or 8 miles north of Lake Bowen, moving

northeast at 40 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Cliffside, Henrietta, Green Creek, Bostic, Harris, Forest City,

Caroleen, Ellenboro, and Spindale.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for
