...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN MACON AND CENTRAL

JACKSON COUNTIES THROUGH 1030 PM EDT...



At 1006 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5

miles southwest of Sylva, or 4 miles southwest of Dillsboro, moving

east at 20 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Dillsboro, Webster, Savannah, Tuckasegee, Sylva, Cullowhee, and

Balsam.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
