...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL RUTHERFORD...

NORTHEASTERN HENDERSON AND SOUTHEASTERN BUNCOMBE COUNTIES THROUGH 945

PM EDT...



At 916 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10

miles north of Hendersonville, or near Fairview In Buncombe County,

moving east at 30 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Gerton, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock State Park, Bat Cave, Chimney Rock

Village, Fairview In Buncombe County, and Fletcher.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
