...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL CABARRUS...

SOUTHEASTERN MECKLENBURG AND NORTHWESTERN UNION COUNTIES THROUGH 930

PM EDT...



At 854 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along 

a line extending from 11 miles southeast of Concord to 5 miles 

northeast of Indian Land. Movement was southeast at 15 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Indian Trail, Lake Park, Wesley Chapel, Mint Hill, South Charlotte,

Marvin, Matthews, Stallings, Midland, and The Arboretum.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for
