...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern

Muscogee, southwestern Chattahoochee and western Stewart Counties

through 1015 PM EDT...



At 943 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Hatchechubbe, or 9

miles east of Hurtsboro, moving east at 40 mph.



HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to 

         ground lightning.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of 

         light, unsecured objects.



Locations impacted include...

Cusseta, Fort Benning/Lawson Army Air Fld, Charles, Sand Hill, Battle

Park, Omaha, Sanford, Custer Road Terrace, Jamestown/South Fort

Benning, Benning Hills, Benning Park, Carter Acres, Louvale, and

Providence Canyon State Park.

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear

thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM EDT for west central

Georgia.
