...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CHARLESTON AND BERKELEY 

COUNTIES UNTIL 9 PM EDT...



At 816 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near 

West Ashley, moving southeast at 15 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

unsecured objects.



Locations impacted include...

  Hollywood, West Ashley, Johns Island, North Charleston, James 

  Island, Daniel Island, Downtown Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Fort 

  Sumter and Isle Of Palms.



This includes the following highways...

	I-26 between mile markers 215 and 221.

	I-526 between mile markers 11 and 17...and

	near mile marker 31.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded 

roadways.
