...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern

Edgefield and central Aiken Counties through 330 AM EDT...



At 252 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near

Edgefield County Airport, or 8 miles northeast of Belvedere, moving

east at 25 mph.



HAZARD...Penny size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.



Locations impacted include...

Aiken, North Augusta, Belvedere, USC Aiken, Aiken Municipal Airport,

Citizens Park, Edgefield County Airport, Graniteville, Gloverville,

Trenton, Hopeland Gardens, Murphys Estates, Vaucluse, and Murphy

Village.



This includes the following highways...

 Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 5 and 33.

 Interstate 520 in South Carolina near mile marker 23.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

shelter inside a building or vehicle.
