...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL RUTLAND AND CENTRAL

WINDSOR COUNTIES THROUGH 430 PM EDT...



At 333 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over

Mendon, moving east at 20 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Woodstock, Rutland, Hartland Four Corners, Woodstock Village,

Killington, Rutland City, Quechee, Proctor, Pomfret, Hartland,

Bridgewater, Mendon, Hartford, Barnard, West Rutland, Norwich,

Pittsford, Stockbridge, Sharon, and Plymouth.



This includes the following highways...

 Interstate 89 between mile markers 1 and 10.

 Interstate 91 near mile marker 61, and between mile markers 63 and

66.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio

stations and available television stations for additional information

and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
