WESTMORELAND...CENTRAL CAROLINE AND NORTHWESTERN ESSEX COUNTIES

THROUGH MIDNIGHT EDT...



At 1114 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong

thunderstorms along a line extending from near White Point Beach to

near Leedstown to Bowling Green. Movement was northeast at 20 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy rain.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Bowling Green, Montross, Champlain, Milford, Port Royal, Fort Walker,

Newland, Coles Point, Loretto, Leedstown, Currioman Landing, Hustle,

Supply, Mount Holly, Stratford Hall, Erica, Templeman, Lerty, Sparta,

and Oak Grove.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

shelter inside a building or vehicle.
