...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM MST FOR 

YAVAPAI COUNTY...



At 135 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located near 

Dewey-Humboldt, or 8 miles east of Prescott Valley, moving northeast 

at 10 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage

         to roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

  Prescott Valley, Clarkdale, Dewey-Humboldt, Jerome State Historic 

  Park, Mayer, Jerome, Mingus Mountain and Cherry.



This includes the following highways...

	State Route 69 between mile markers 278 and 286.

	State Route 89A between mile markers 329 and 347.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from 

windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large 

hail.



Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. 

Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can 

hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead 

to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded 

roadways.
