EDT/915 PM CDT/ FOR SOUTHEASTERN MARION AND SOUTHWESTERN HAMILTON

COUNTIES...



At 949 PM EDT/849 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located near

Lookout Mountain, or 9 miles west of Chattanooga, moving east at 35

mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 

         roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

Lookout Mountain, Red Bank, Hicks Gap State Park, Signal Mountain,

Haletown (guild), Chattanooga, Walden, and East Ridge.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside

should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from

windows.



Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
