...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 AM CDT

FOR SOUTHEASTERN COVINGTON COUNTY...



At 658 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from 7 miles northwest of Samson to 9 miles north of

Florala to 8 miles northwest of Lockhart, moving east at 35 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 

         roofs, siding, and trees.



These severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly rural areas of

southeastern Covington County.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for south central

Alabama.
