...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM CDT

FOR NORTHERN NEWTON AND NESHOBA COUNTIES...



At 533 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Dowdville, or

10 miles south of Pearl River, moving east at 35 mph.



HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 

         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 

         considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to 

         mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.



Locations impacted include...

Philadelphia, Pearl River, Union, Tucker, Herbert Springs, Stratton,

Neshoba, Bethsaida, House, Dowdville, Forestdale, Duffee, Prospect,

Little Rock, and Dixon.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central and

east central Mississippi.
