...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM CDT FOR CENTRAL

CONCORDIA...SOUTHWESTERN CATAHOULA PARISHES IN NORTHEASTERN LOUISIANA

AND SOUTHWESTERN ADAMS COUNTIES...



At 530 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

was located near Lake Ophelia National Wildlife Refuge, or 12 miles

northeast of Effie, moving east at 40 mph.



HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.



IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 

         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 

         likely.

  Larto, New Era, Acme, and Mayna around 535 PM CDT.

  Monterey around 545 PM CDT.

  Deer Park around 555 PM CDT.

  Natchez around 610 PM CDT.

floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
