The severe thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out of 

the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for south

central, central, southwestern and west central Alabama.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM CDT

FOR NORTHEASTERN MARENGO...PERRY AND SOUTHERN HALE COUNTIES...



At 727 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Duffys Bend, or

9 miles southwest of Greensboro, moving east at 45 mph.



HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 

         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind 

         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

Demopolis, Marion, Greensboro, Uniontown, Newbern, Faunsdale, Vaiden,

Arcola, Greensboro Municipal Airport, Duffys Bend, Sawyerville,

Radford, Old Spring Hill, Demopolis Lock And Dam, Gallion, Folsom,

Vaiden Field Airport, Laneville, Perry County Correctional Center,

and Judson College.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for south

central, central, southwestern and west central Alabama.



Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly

from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the

basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.



This storm is producing destructive winds and large damaging hail.

SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from

windows.



Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
