...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM EDT

FOR WESTERN CHESTER AND SOUTHEASTERN UNION COUNTIES...



At 1204 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles southeast

of Union, or near Carlisle, moving east at 20 mph.



HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 

         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind 

         damage to trees and power lines.



Locations impacted include...

Chester State Park, Leeds, Monarch Mill, Carlisle, Santuc, Cornwell,

Union, and Chester.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly

from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the

basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.



This storm is producing large hail. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy

structure and stay away from windows.
