...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM EDT

FOR WEST CENTRAL SWAIN AND NORTHEASTERN GRAHAM COUNTIES...



At 820 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northwest of

Bryson City, or 5 miles east of Smoky Mountains-Fontana Area, moving 

east at 20 mph. Other strong to severe storms will move into the 

area between 830 PM and 900 PM. Additional warnings may be 

necessary.  



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.



Locations impacted include...

Fontana Lake, Fontana Village, Deals Gap, Tapoco, and Great Smoky 

Mountains National Park.
