...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM EDT

FOR CENTRAL LICKING COUNTY...



At 542 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Granville

South, moving east at 20 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.



IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind 

         damage to trees and power lines.



Locations impacted include...

Newark, Heath, Granville, Pataskala, Hebron, Granville South,

Beechwood Trails, New Albany, Jersey, Alexandria, and State Route 310

at State Route 161.



This includes I-70 in Ohio near mile marker 128.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.



Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading

killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to

be struck by lightning.
