...PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW POSSIBLE THROUGH FRIDAY

MORNING...



Gusty southwesterly winds tonight will become northwesterly 

overnight as temperatures fall back into the lower 20s through

Friday morning. Falling temperatures, combined with wind gusts of

35 to 50 mph and occasional snow showers, may result in periods 

of blowing snow and visibilities reduced to less than one mile at

times from Kivalina south across Kotzebue Sound. The gusty winds 

are expected to diminish by Friday evening.

...LIGHT WINTRY MIX OF SNOW AND FREEZING DRIZZLE TO CONTINUE

THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY MORNING...



Areas of light snow will continue overnight and into early Friday

morning from around White Mountain east to Koyuk and south to 

Shaktoolik through early Friday morning with up to an inch of 

additional snow accumulation. Farther south, from Unalakleet to 

Emmonak, patchy light freezing drizzle will persist overnight with

up to a light glaze of ice accumulation possible. Southwest winds

up to 35 mph will become westerly and diminish by late Friday 

morning.
