Forecast confidence has increased for the Hurricane Force low 

tracking out of the N Pacific to weaken and move further south 

over Haida Gwaii late Tuesday afternoon. Strong wind gusts up to 

50 mph continue to be likely, with highest confidence of strongest

winds over southern portions of Prince of Wales Island, southern 

Annette Island, and the Ketchikan Gateway Borough through late

Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. Isolated gusts up to 

60 mph or greater can't be ruled out, but are not anticipated to 

be widespread or frequent at this time.
