...HIGH WIND WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH 

TUESDAY MORNING...



* WHAT...Northeast winds 40 to 50 mph with gusts up to 70 mph 

  possible.



* WHERE...Kodiak Island Northeast



* WHEN...From late tonight through Tuesday morning.



* IMPACTS...High winds could move loose debris, damage property, and 

  cause power outages. Travel could be difficult.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong front moving north across the 

  northern Gulf of Alaska late tonight into Tuesday morning will 

  bring strong easterly winds across Kodiak Island. The strongest 

  winds will be along the east and northeast coast and areas 

  susceptible to easterly channeled winds. Moderate to heavy rain 

  will also accompany the front with rainfall totals of 1 to 2 

  inches possible. Higher elevations could see locally greater 

  rainfall amounts.
