...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM AKST THIS 

MORNING...



* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. 

  Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.



* WHERE...Lower Kobuk Valley, Noatak Valley, South Slopes of the 

  Western Brooks Range, and Upper Kobuk Valleys.



* WHEN...Until 11 AM AKST this morning.



* IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and 

  blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make 

  travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Plan on 

  slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could 

  significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could 

  impact the Friday morning commute.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in 

your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
