The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

  Northern Newton County in east central Mississippi...

  Neshoba County in east central Mississippi...



* Until 615 PM CDT.



* At 522 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Standing

  Pine, or 9 miles southeast of Carthage, moving east at 35 mph.



  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 

           tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 

           roofs, and outbuildings.



* Locations impacted include...

  Philadelphia, Pearl River, Union, Tucker, Herbert Springs,

  Stratton, Neshoba, Bethsaida, House, Dowdville, Forestdale, Duffee,

  Prospect, Little Rock, and Dixon.
