  Southwestern Mecklenburg County in the Piedmont of North

  Carolina...

  Southeastern Gaston County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

  Northeastern York County in Upstate South Carolina...



* Until 915 PM EDT.



* At 829 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northeast

  of York, or 4 miles east of Clover, moving east at 20 mph.



  HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 

           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 

           wind damage to trees and power lines.



* Locations impacted include...

  Steele Creek, Clover, Tega Cay, Carowinds, Lake Wylie, Fort Mill,

  Newport, Southwest Charlotte, Charlotte Douglas Airport, and Rock

  Hill.
