CHANGES WITH THIS ADVISORY -------------------------- A Tropical Storm Warning is now in effect for Ulithi and Fais in Yap State. The Tropical Storm Warning for Satawal in Yap State is cancelled. WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Ulithi and Fais in Yap State. The Tropical Storm Warning for Satawal in Yap State is cancelled. A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for Faraulep and Woleai in Yap State. A Tropical Storm Watch remains in effect for Yap and adjacent coastal waters, and Ngulu in Yap State. A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions, including winds of 39 to 73 mph, are expected within 24 hours. A Tropical Storm Watch means that tropical storm conditions, including winds of 39 to 73 mph, are possible within 48 hours. Hagupit is moving west at 12 mph. It is expected to make a slight turn toward the west-northwest with a slight decrease in forward speed through Friday. Maximum sustained winds remain at 40 mph. Hagupit is forecast to maintain this intensity through tonight before gradually intensifying Friday, potentially becoming a strong tropical storm early Saturday. Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 100 miles to the north.
