* Special Marine Warning for...

  Waters from Cape Lookout  to Surf City NC from 20 to 40 nm...

  Waters fromOcracoke Inlet to Cape Lookout NC from 20 to 40 nm...



* Until 530 AM EDT.



* At 436 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing

  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 15 nm

  southeast of Atlas Tanker to 7 nm east of 14 Buoy, moving south at

  10 knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.



* Severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.
