* Special Marine Warning for...

  Coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to Fernandina Beach FL out 20

  NM...

  Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20

  NM...



* Until 600 PM EDT.



* At 512 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing

  waterspouts was located 8 nm northeast of Amelia City, or 29 nm

  south of St. Simons Island, moving east at 10 knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small 

           hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

  Whittakers Snapper Hole Reef.
