  nm...

  Coastal waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC out 20

  nm...

  Coastal waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC out 20 nm...

  Waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 40

  nm...

  Waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC from 20 to 40

  nm...

  Waters from Murrells Inlet NC to South Santee River SC from 20 to

  40 nm...



* Until 900 AM EDT.



* At 729 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing wind 

  gusts over 34 knots and possibly waterspouts was located over Bill 

  Perry Junior Reef, moving east at 35 knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small 

           hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Gary Ennis Reef, Frying Pan Shoals Light Tower, Atlantic Ledge,

  Raritan Wreck, Frying Pan Shoals Buoy, Bill Perry Junior Reef, Bp

  25 Liberty Ship Wreck, Cape Fear Knuckle Buoy, City Of Houston, and

  Mount Dirfy's Wreck.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.

If caught on the open water, prepare for deteriorating conditions.

Make sure you and your crew are wearing properly fitted life jackets.
