...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CHST FRIDAY...



* WHAT...Hazardous surf of 7 to 9 feet.



* WHERE...East facing reefs of Kosrae.



* WHEN...Until 6 AM ChST Friday.



* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and

  localized beach erosion.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Significant trade swell and localized wind

  waves are now producing hazardous surf along eastern exposures of

  Kosrae tonight. Trade swell is expected to diminish slightly

  beginning Friday, allowing surf to fall just below hazardous

  criteria, but remain borderline for at least several days.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to

dangerous surf conditions.
