...TROPICAL STORM WARNING IN EFFECT...



* WHAT...Northeast winds 35 to 45 kt with gusts up to 60 kt and

  seas 10 to 16 feet are possible.



* WHERE...Yap Coastal Waters.



* WHEN...Through at least Saturday morning, or longer if

  conditions warrant.



* IMPACTS...Very strong winds will cause hazardous seas which

  could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tropical Storm Hagupit (05W) is currently

  forecast to move through or just south of Yap Proper Friday night.

  Tropical storm force winds are possible Friday evening through 

  Saturday morning. 



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A tropical storm warning means sustained winds of 34 to 63 kt or 39 

to 73 mph are expected due to a tropical storm within 24 hours.



Preparations should be underway to protect life and property from 

tropical storm conditions before conditions deteriorate Friday 

evening. Mariners should alter plans to avoid hazardous conditions. 

Remain in port, seek safe harbor, and/or secure the vessel for severe

wind and seas.
