The latest altimetry pass shows that seas have fallen below 10 feet

and the latest scatterometry data shows winds have fallen below 22

knots. Seas are expected to continue to fall allowing the Small Craft

Advisory to be canceled.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO

3 AM CHST WEDNESDAY...



* WHAT...East winds 15 to 25 kt and seas 7 to 10 feet expected.



* WHERE...Pohnpei Coastal Waters.



* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 3 AM ChST Wednesday.



* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A combination of a significant easterly swell,

  northerly swell, and much higher wind waves is expected to produce

  sea conditions hazardous to small craft tonight. Winds and primary

  swell look to dissipate late tonight, and seas should drop below

  hazardous levels of 10 feet by early Wednesday morning. Seas will

  remain choppy through Wednesday night.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller

vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions.
