The National Weather Service in Juneau has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Cape Decision to Cape Edgecumbe out to 15 NM...

  Cape Decision to Cape Edgecumbe from 15 to 80 NM...



* Until 315 PM AKDT.



* At 217 PM AKDT, a cluster of strong thunderstorms was located 33 NM

  south of Biorka Island, or 38 NM west of Little Port Walter, moving

  northeast at 35 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 45 knots.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be capsized in the suddenly higher winds

           and higher waves associated with this cluster of

           thunderstorms.



* Locations impacted include...

  Biorka Island and Whale Bay.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.

Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, high waves, dangerous lightning, and

heavy rain are possible with this storm.
