...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Idaho...



  Coeur d Alene River at Cataldo affecting Kootenai and Shoshone 

  Counties.



.Rain has ended however snowmelt will continue to feed into the 

river.  River levels will continue to recede over the next 36 hours.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 

Weather Service when you can do so safely.



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW AFTERNOON...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Coeur d Alene River at Cataldo.



* WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon.



* IMPACTS...At 45.0 feet, The County may begin pumping operations 

  behind levels above this stage if the river is expected to remain 

  over flood stage for a long duration.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 2:15 PM PST Friday the stage was 44.8 feet.

  - Bankfull stage is 42.0 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 2:15 PM PST Friday was 46.4 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

    late tonight and continue falling to 40.9 feet Friday,

    December 19.

  - Flood stage is 43.0 feet.
