...Observed flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and 

increased in duration for the following rivers in Idaho...



  Coeur d Alene River at Cataldo affecting Shoshone and Kootenai 

  Counties.



.River continues to run in Moderate flood levels. Levels are trending

lower.



For the Coeur d'Alene River...including Enaville, Cataldo, Lake 

Coeur d Alene...Minor flooding is forecast.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 

Weather Service when you can do so safely.



Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TOMORROW MORNING...



* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is 

  forecast.



* WHERE...Coeur d Alene River at Cataldo.



* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.



* IMPACTS...At 46.0 feet, The east-bound I-90 exit and entrance near 

  Cataldo may be flooded. Latour Creek Road will be flooded and 

  impassable. The Old Coeur d'Alene River Road along the North Fork 

  of the Couer d'Alene River will be flooded.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 4:15 AM PST Friday the stage was 46.1 feet.

  - Bankfull stage is 42.0 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

    ending at 4:15 AM PST Friday was 46.4 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to lower to minor flood

    Friday morning. The river is expected to fall below flood

    stage Saturday morning.

  - Flood stage is 43.0 feet.

  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of

    46.1 feet on 03/16/2017.
