...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM MST THIS EVENING...



* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.



* WHERE...Areas near Young in Gila County.



* WHEN...Until 730 PM MST.



* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is 

  imminent or occurring. Dangerous flooding over low-water 

  crossings. Water flowing over roadways will create slick roads and 

  muddy unpaved roads.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 554 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rain

    has ended over Youngs. Minor flooding will however remain a

    possibility from earlier rainfall over the advisory area.

    Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.

  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is

    expected.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Young.

  - This includes State Route 288 between mile markers 302 and

    308.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Low water crossings will become dangerous in heavy rain. Do not 

attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
