...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING...



* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 

  rainfall continues.



* WHERE...A portion of northwest Texas, including the following 

  county, Lubbock.



* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT.



* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 840 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges

    indicated pockets of brief heavy rain. This will cause urban

    and small stream flooding. Between 0.2 and 0.5 inches of rain

    have fallen over the city of Lubbock.

  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected

    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor

    flooding.

  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...

    Lubbock, Wolfforth, Ransom Canyon, Downtown Lubbock, Texas

    Tech University, Lubbock South Plains Mall, Woodrow, Lubbock

    International Airport, Slide and Buffalo Springs.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.
