...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in 

Louisiana...Mississippi...



  Mississippi River At Vicksburg affecting Claiborne, Tensas, 

  Warren, Jefferson and Madison Counties.



  Mississippi River At Natchez affecting Concordia, Adams and 

  Wilkinson Counties.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 

cars through flooded areas.



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...



* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...Mississippi River at Vicksburg.



* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.



* IMPACTS...At 43.5 feet, Long Lake Subdivision is completely 

  flooded. Vicksburg Floodwall gates at the train depot and the 

  lumber yard gate 8 are closed.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 43.3 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

    tomorrow morning and continue falling.

  - Flood stage is 43.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 53 feet, Some camps and houses are flooded around 

  Fort Adams.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 52.1 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

    Friday, May 23 and continue falling.

  - Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
